Kings of Europe : * MANCHESTER UNITED * CHEERS !!!!!

Here's what the lads had to say to ManUtd.com afterwards...
Cristiano Ronaldo
We showed this season that we are the best team in Europe and in England and it’s a great feeling. Next season we will try to do the same. I feel very proud. It means everything to me - it is the happiest day of my life.
Nemanja Vidic
The game against Manchester City [which marked the 50th anniversary of the Munich air crash] was very disappointing and we still remember that. But I think we made up for it in Moscow and by winning the league and gave the fans what they wanted.
Edwin van der Sar
Of course, nights like this are what you dream of. It’s been 13 years – a long time – since I last won the competition and it feels fantastic, especially in the way we won it. It was the last penalty – saving it - I don't have any words for it. What can I say? It's great.
Rio Ferdinand
I said before the game that you’re only really considered a great player at this club when you win the Champions League. There have been a lot of top players to play for the club, but to be revered by the fans and everyone associated with United by becoming a European champion sets you apart from others.Wayne RooneyI hope we can win it again. Doing it this year has given us a taste for it and we want to do well again next season. We’ve got some great young players in the squad mixed with experience, so hopefully we can do well again.
Michael Carrick
When you take a penalty you’ve got to have the belief in yourself that you’re going to score and obviously hope for the best! You know there is always someone who’s going to have to miss and you pray it’s not you.
Carlos Tevez
It has been a long time since I felt like this - it's a huge emotion in my heart. When I was a child, I never thought I would be now lifting the cup, but dreams usually come true and I am very, very happy."

Greedy Champions !!! Next one will coming soon.

Champions Set Their Sights On MoscowSir Alex Ferguson won his 10th Premier League title yesterday and challenged his players to prove themselves his best Manchester Unitedside ever by winning the Champions League as well. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a first half penalty but, fittingly, it was Ryan Giggs, equalling Sir Bobby Charlton's appearance record of 758 games, who sealed the 2-0 win at Wigan that secured the title by two points as Chelsea drew 1-1 at home to Bolton. United and Chelsea will meet again in Moscow in the Champions League Final on Wednesday week and Ferguson said: "If we win the Champions League you will have to say this is the best team. I think it would have to be judged that way because they are so young. This squad is definitely the best. We are bouncing into the Champions League Final now. If we had lost the title today it would have been difficult to go into that game. When we lost the title at West Ham in 1995 we went into the FA Cup Final and we were dead. We were flat and we lost to Everton. But we are not dead this time - we are alive." Ian Ladyman, Daily Mail
Countless column inches are devoted to United's 17th title triumph, with Cristiano Ronaldo and record-equalling winger Ryan Giggs taking all the plaudits for the victory at the JJB Stadium.
Ahead of the Reds' Champions League clash with second-placed Chelsea, Blues skipper John Terry insists he will be fit to play in Moscow, despite dislocating an elbow against Bolton. Striker Didier Drogba, who suffered a knee injury, is more of a doubt.
The Daily Mail sees fit to look ahead to next season, speculating that United could be reinforced by the summer signing of Micah Richards, who is apparently considering his future at Manchester City.

WE ARE IN THE FINAL !!!!! YEAHHHHH

MANCHESTER UNITED 1 : 0 BARCELONA

Rio Ferdinand praised United for "digging deep" to get past Barcelona and reach the Champions League final on Tuesday night.
A wonderful Paul Scholes goal gave United the lead, but some valiant defending was needed to stave off Barcelona's challenge.
"We had to dig deep in the end, but we feel we did enough to get there," Rio admitted after the game.
"We had to show discipline, quality in the goal from Paul Scholes - and what a goal! - and then resilience. We stuck together and we're there now."
Ferdinand and Wes Brown were rocks at the centre of a resilient defence.
United will play either Liverpool or Chelsea in the final, but Rio insists he doesn't care who the Reds' opponents are.
"I don't care who we face in the final," he added. "We're there and that's all that matters."
"The fans were absolutely brilliant," When our crowd gets like that, we never let them down. They make such an impact, they force us to play.""He scored in the second game of the season at Portsmouth and then today he’s come up with another one!" We’ve seen so many great goals from Paul in the past but tonight, considering the occasion and the importance of the game, he scored an absolutely magnificent goal.""I just hope my pacemaker’s working! If not, I’m in trouble!" “Our home form in Europe has been absolutely outstanding and it needed to be tonight because I have to pay great credit to Barcelona, a club with great philosophy," he added."Their sportsmanship at the end of the game showed what a great club they are. "I just feel tonight we have beaten a fantastic football club and a great team and that puts our performance in perspective. I think it was marvellous." remarked Sir Alex Ferguson.

Barcelona 0 : 0 Manchester United

"Today I didn't score," he told Sky Sports. "No problem, now I'm going to score in Manchester. Nil-nil is a good result. Of course, if you score a goal it is better for us. We didn't score, but 0-0 is good.
"It was a tough game, Barcelona played very well and kept the ball a lot. But I think we defended very well and we played well too. I think 0-0 away is a good result.""Now we're playing at home, and I think we're going to win," he said. "The team feels good confidence, we played very well, we play at home now and we have a great chance."

Barcelona striker Thierry Henry admits United are currently "flying" ahead of Wednesday's Champions League semi-final.Henry, once hailed as "the greatest striker ever" by Arsene Wenger, claims to be indifferent about facing old foes United.
"I'm neither happy nor unhappy [about playing United]. I just think this is the team we're going to play in the semi-final, and if we want to reach the final we have to beat them. I think they will be two good games of football, though, because they have the same kind of approach to the game that we have."Both teams hold an unbeaten record in this year's Champions League campaign and you can guarantee neither team will easily sacrifice that statistic. He gave little away as to how he, and indeed Barcelona, will approach the game but coolly pointed out United have not been unbeatable in their race for the Barclays Premier League."At the moment they're flying, but you never know in football. Hopefully they will have a bad day when we play them. You know how it is in the Champions League – one bad day and you're gone."

Blackburn Rovers 1 : 1 Manchester United

Michael Carrick says it wasn't just Carlos Tevez who the Reds had to thank for rescuing a point at Ewood Park, it was as much United's 8000-strong support who ensured the Reds' title destiny remained in their own hands.

"The fans were unbelievable again and they probably sucked the ball in for us in the end," he told MUTV."They're always great at Old Trafford, but when we come away from home the fans are something else.

"We're in a good position," he insisted. "We know we've got a good cushion over Chelsea, but we're not thinking about going there and losing or drawing. We want to win and cement our place as the best team in the country."

"It means a lot for me to go back to the Nou Camp," Pique told MUTV. "I grew up there and it will be a great feeling to return. I hope we go through. We are very confident even though they are one of the best teams in Europe. "I think a lot of people want a Barcelona v United final but this isn’t possible. Instead, we’ll play in the semi-finals and it will be a great tie. I think the fans will really enjoy it."In Nemanja Vidic's absence, Pique slotted in seamlessly alongside Rio Ferdinand against Roma, and the youngster feels it is exactly that kind of strength in depth which gives United a great chance of reaching the final in Moscow.
"I think we have a great chance of making the final," he said. "The injury situation is good and everybody is doing a job when they come into the side. I think we can do it and I hope we’ll be in Moscow.
"It’s easy to come into the side and play because everyone’s playing well and we all know our roles. It’s easy to step into this team and enjoy your football when you’re on the pitch."

BORO 2 : 2 RED DEVILS

"We could have lost the game," admitted Sir Alex afterwards on MUTV.
"They had some chances and our defending was a bit haphazard at times."But on the other side of it, we could have won the game. Some of our football was terrific and we looked very strong and in control when we took the lead."Wayne Rooney was wrongly flagged offside when he was clean through just after that and when they got their equaliser it became a great game of football."It was end-to-end and both teams deserve great credit for producing a performance like that at this stage of the season."
"The nature of our football club is we never give in and that's a great quality to have at this time of year," he insisted."It could turn out to be an important point and our goal difference is very good as well. But we can't take anything granted.
"I said some weeks ago that the most consistent team will win it and hopefully it turns out to be us."

It's not Man U News , just for fun !

Typical Man!
Why I fired my Secretary.
Last week was my birthday and I didn't feel very well waking up on that morning.
I went downstairs for breakfast hoping my wife would be pleasant and say,"Happy Birthday!", and possibly have a small present for me.
As it turned out, she barely said good morning, let alone " Happy Birthday."
I thought...
Well, that's marriage for you, but the kids... They will remember.
My kids came bounding down stairs to breakfast and didn't say a word.So when I left for the office, I felt pretty low and somewhat despondent.
As I walked into my office, my secretary Jane said, "Good Morning Boss, and by the way Happy Birthday ! "It felt a little better that at least someone had remembered.
I worked until one o'clock , when Jane knocked on my door and said, "You know, It's such a beautiful day outside, and it is your Birthday, what do you say we go out to lunch, just you and me."I said, "Thanks, Jane, that's the greatest thing I've heard all day. Let's go !"
We went to lunch. But we didn't go where we normally would go.She chose instead at a quiet bistro with a private table. We had two martinis each and I enjoyed the meal tremendously.
On the way back to the office, Jane said, "You know, It's such a beautiful day... We don't need to go straight back to the office,Do We ?"
I responded, "I guess not. What do you have in mind ?"She said, "Let's drop by my apartment, it's just around the corner." After arriving at her apartment, Jane turned to me and said, " Boss, if you don't mind,I'm going to step into the bedroom for just a moment.I'll be right back." "Ok." I nervously replied.
She went into the bedroom and, after a couple of minutes, she came out carrying a huge birthday cake ...Followed by my wife, my kids, and dozens of my friends and co-workers, all singing "Happy Birthday".
And I just sat there...

On the couch...

AS ROMA 0 : 2 MANCHESTER UNITED

“I think we have a great chance this year,” says Ronaldo. “The team is playing fantastic football and we are more mature than last year. “We know the Champions League is different to the Premier League. This is a great competition and of course we want to win it this season.”

“It was a very good performance,” he told ITV. “It was a tough game, Roma played very well but I think we deserved to win.“I feel happy to have scored the goal to help the team. We’ve got the second leg at home in a week and we will play to win for our supporters as we did here.“The defence was terrific. The shape, the way they squeezed Roma. It was a fantastic performance, they did a really good job.” ( RONALDO )

Manchester 4 : 0 Aston Villa

Wayne Rooney was pleased to end a six-game run without a goal, and a five-month wait to find the net in the league at Old Trafford, with two goals against Aston Villa.

"I'm very pleased," said Rooney. "It's been a bit frustrating in the last few weeks. "I had a chance just before I scored that I missed. I should have scored, and I felt like I wasn't going to score again. But I was delighted to get two goals in the end."

"It was a good game for us," he added. "Coming after international matches, it can be tricky. But we got two goals in the first half which settled us down, and then we got two more in the second half. It was a good performance all-round and a well-deserved win."Each game we get closer. But we have to keep playing our game and picking up the wins in every game. If we do that that will hopefully see us through."

MANCHESTER 3 : 0 LIVERPOOL ( YAYYYYY!!!!! )

"We’re not getting carried away by any means but we’re happy with our position. Three or four weeks ago we were a few points behind Arsenal and aware that we needed to get points on the board fairly quickly. "We’ve managed to do that and obviously Arsenal have slipped up a little bit and opened the door for us."
"It’s very enjoyable when you win, especially against Liverpool. "You’re aware it’s a big game and there’s a little bit more to it than just the three points.
"It’s a great occasion to be part of."- Michael Carrick
